New Clowns in Town

Movin' Madness is a fun-for-the-whole-family play about moving to a new place and making it your home. Think about it: Boxes, packing material, and the hammer-nail continuum are all rich with comedic possibilities, especially if you're a clown. The jokes to be found in, on, and near lightbulbs and staircases are even better if you're a dreaded mime, better still if there are five of you intent on making children giggle. The Clowns of Pi, a UCSC-bred physical comedy troupe, is just such a conglomeration, and the show is based on the group's own experiences with pulling up stakes and putting them back down: Movin' Madness is the Clowns' first performance in San Francisco. Goofballs bearing pratfalls, welcome!
