So, the rumors are true: Trannyshack is leaving us. An ominous note on the drag show's Web site reminds us "There are now 12 Trannyshacks left." We thought it was a publicity stunt at first too, but no. It's horribly real. The long-running show, famous for dragging drag into the 21st century with creativity, youthiness, and a weirdly egalitarian spirit is dying. Tonight the revue features a live performance by Los Angeles chanteuse Lady GaGa, who embodies the fashion-forward, glamorous rock monster vibe that's such a big part of the shack. Obviously, you should start planning an outfit asap. Heklina and the usual gang are expected to hot-tranny-mess it up too, of course, tonight and on all the remaining Tuesdays; upcoming themes include "Addicted to Porn" and a Stevie Nicks tribute night.
