Armistead Maupin is so gay! We saw him read at a Litquake event years ago, and the best part of the whole night was hearing rumors about how he and Cintra Wilson were having an ego-off backstage. We knew something was going on, because he came onstage and made a really off-color remark about how sorry he was that he was gay, now that he'd been staring at Cintra Wilson's ass from backstage. Did it involve the word "pork?" We hope not. Or we hope so. Regardless, the man who wrote Tales of the City (which made everyone in the U.S. want to be gay) is reading at the Radar Reading Series during gay month, along with NYC punker Cristy C. Road and Nuyorican poet Emanual Xavier. As usual, host Michelle Tea offers cookies to everyone who asks a question during the after-reading panel discussion.
