Matt, you are obviously spending way too much time at SF Weekly's sterile Mission Bay corporate headquarters, and being ensconced in this anonymous newish construction in the LA district of San Francisco is clearly warping your brain.

Do you have any idea how much new crappy housing would have had to have been built over the past few years to keep prices from rising? Of course not, as nobody has run the numbers through an economic model, preferring argumentation by the waving of the hands employing Reagan era economic truisms which have kneecapped the US economy and are being rapidly discredited as we speak.

Aside from your having an ax to grind against progressives and the Guardian for successfully calling this corporate rag to task for its illegal business practices, as your livelihood is at stake here and you might face displacement from San Francisco absent a cushy writing gig, what the fuck is funny about political violence?

It's very hard to be openly gay, lesbian or bisexual. They usually got harassed, beaten up, pushed around and called all kinds of slurs. They would say all sorts of horrible things for the wrong reasons.

So I think for GLBT, they'd better find some online community or something like that, to come out first, where they may feel support, happy, free, just like the one BisexualMingle.com. Then they can come out step by step.

Agreed with Marc. I do believe the rest of can come up our own cartoons and/or comics with a different narrative that portrays Gavin Newsom hiding behind the veil of gay marriage in order to advance an agenda of gentrification at the expense of ordinary people and the planet.
