The public's waning interest in radical vinyl manipulation has caused many of the Bay Area's top turntable dragons to drop off the radar. Luckily that isn't the case with local scratch maestro DJ Quest. He has issued numerous mixes, performed with his turntable-jazz power trio Live Human, and collaborated with the likes of Mike Patton and local underground MC sensation TopR. This past spring, he also released a stunning solo effort and headphone tour de force, Questolous, on his own ZQ Records imprint.
