Ordinarily considered the sole property of bombastically emotive teenage girls, the exclamation point has reestablished its street cred with the band !!! For these dance-punk necromancers, the much-maligned punctuation serves as a fitting precursor to what's in store for anyone who lends an ear, or an ass, to the staccato funk of such inspired tracks as "Me and Giuliani Down by the Schoolyard (a True Story)." The brilliance of such a band using punctuation as its moniker is not to be overlooked; its music is full of sudden stops and jerky motions. Overall, !!! favors eliciting pure exhilaration.
